These webpages show the IO paths for a P-series AIX LPAR disk via the VIO servers to the physical disk. This allows you to determine if an optimal availability for IO has been established for each LPAR disk and helps finding single paths of failure.

The data to create this overview is gathered from the managing HMC, storage information from the VIO servers and the LPARs.

VIO servers

Overview of managed disks of all VIO servers. For each virtual disk it will show its definition and to which LPAR it belongs. The LPARMAP link will give an overview of VIO server connections to LPARS and shows map from physical disk ids to virtual disk. This can help identify the disk on the backend storage devices.
